The concept adapts aircraft evacuation-slide deployment physics to a permanent roof-apex system. No ropes, cables, hoses, water, or external rigging are used in the visualized architecture.

Aircraft-slide-inspired air beams inflate from one hub and carry the opaque veil outward in every direction.

No. PyroVeil is an early product concept recruiting research and pilot interest. Certification, pricing, installation scope, and measured performance remain to be established.
Does it replace defensible space or home hardening?
No. Those remain foundational. PyroVeil is being developed as a deployable exterior layer that could complement a hardened home.
Why focus on embers?
IBHS has reported that embers and ember-set fires can be the first ignition source for as many as 90% of structures damaged or destroyed in wildfire events.
Will it work in extreme wind?
Wind handling is a critical validation milestone. Membrane pressure, radial-beam stiffness, ground-level sealing, and building-specific geometry must be tested before any performance claim is made.
Does deployment require water or external rigging?
The current concept uses a permanently installed roof-apex cassette and inflatable radial beams. The visualized core system does not use ropes, cables, hoses, sprinklers, or water as its deployment mechanism.
